just because a post from Oppo is shared to the front page doesn't mean you've been followed by Jalopnik. Until Jalopnik is one of your followers your posts remain in purgatory (unless it is an Oppo cross post.)

I'm not sure what one needs to do to become approved on the front page. I think it involves bribes of/and sexual favors.

I think you are right
They should set it up to be a time period or post count or something. I think I've been around long enough that I've proven myself to not be spam or anything.

95% of all posts on oppo or the FP are of no worth or depth so that doesn't really matter.
I had two threads shared to the FP, one was even a rather well written article, but I guess that wasn't enough lol

I'm in this camp as well. I don't really comment on FP posts because I just look like some jerky greyed-out riffraff. It's not worth the time to write something that adds value to the conversation if no one is going to see it.

I have been posting for over a year on the FP and I am still in the grey. I always try to add to the conversation and subject matter as well but no luck so far... I am getting very discouraged..
